Greater Butterfly Orchid
The exquisite greater butterfly orchid's angel shaped flowers have a long nectar filled spur. The entrance hole to the spur can clearly be seen in this photo. Night flying Hawk moths probe the spur with their long tongues. They feast on the fragrant nectar and in doing so spread the plants pollen, fertilizing the flowers as they visit.
This essence increases our awareness that full vibrant life force is ours by birthright. It supports our will to live fully on earth, knowing we are impregnated with a heavenly purity of purpose.
